Ottawa's Lupien Will Miss Season
Monday, September 18th , 2062
The doctors have spoken and Sidney Lupien of the Ottawa Oddballs didn't like what he heard. The 23-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Lupien sustained his season-ending injury during the Columbus Clippers game yesterday at Ottawa Ballpark. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Ottawa medical staff reported Lupien had a ruptured ulnar collateral ligament and would be absent from the lineup for at least 14 months.
To date this year, Lupien has compiled a 1-2 mark with a 4.56 ERA in 10 starts.
