Palomino Earns IL Player of the Week Monday, July 24th , 2051 Gwinnett Stripers left fielder Jeuyson Palomino walked away with the International League Player of the Week Award today after putting up some impressive numbers over the past seven days. "The Stripers fans are really behind me right now," said the 28-year-old. "That helps. They give you the confidence to go out there and do better." Palomino batted .571 (12-for-21) with 1 home run and 5 RBIs this week on his way to the award. Palomino is hitting at a .331 mark this season. His stats show 19 home runs, 45 RBIs and 46 runs scored. He has played 90 games for the Stripers. |
