IL Player of the Week Goes to Reed of Norfolk Monday, August 14th , 2051 Loren Reed of the Norfolk Tides had an award-winning week and today was voted the Player of the Week by the International League. For the week the 27-year-old third baseman batted .429 (9-for-21) with 3 home runs and 8 RBIs. In the current season, Reed has put up a .283 batting average with 91 hits, 20 home runs, 71 RBI and scored 41 runs. |
