Alegria Suspended, Out 2 Games Sunday, April 28th , 2052 A 2-game suspension has been handed out by the league office to Poncho Alegria of the Tennessee Smokies. Alegria was suspended for "inappropriate and aggressive conduct" during a confrontation with the plate umpire during a recent game at Engineers Ballpark against the Engineers. He was ejected after arguing a called third strike and had to be restrained by his bench coach. On the season, Alegria is batting .167 with no home runs and 1 RBIs. He has played in 6 games. |
