Ravens End Hamm's Streak Saturday, June 22nd , 2052 It was a doubly miserable day today for Ashton Hamm of the Hartford Yard Goats, as he saw his 22-game hitting streak end and his team lose 4-3 to the New Haven Ravens at The Ballpark at Jackson. The 27-year-old right fielder was held hitless in 4 at-bats by the Ravens. "Anyone on a 22-game hitting streak is going to be a tough out," New Haven manager Mike DeBlois said later. "But we had a plan and we were careful about it, and got it done." This year Hamm has batted at a .307 pace with 58 hits, 1 home run, 23 RBIs and scored 18 times. |
