Szymkiewicz suffered the injury throwing a pitch. Although officials from the Gateway Grizzlies are confident he'll make a full recovery, doubts will persist about Szymkiewicz's ability to return fully fit with an injury of this nature. To date this season, Szymkiewicz has registered 15 starts, 3-6 won-lost mark, 5.40 ERA, 65 IP, 53 strikeouts and 24 walks. Opposing teams have hit .315 against him. |
