Neal 5-for-8 for Curve Monday, June 12th , 2062 Altoona Curve shortstop Alex Neal had a day to remember at Regions Field, ripping apart the Wichita Pilots and sparking the 8-6 Curve win. Neal wrote his name in the record books with a 5-hit barrage, finishing his special day 5-for-8. "I'm usually a first ball hitter," Neal told BNN reporters in the postgame press conference. "I think pitchers think batters are going to let the first one go by. I never do. I've always found that it's better to pull the trigger early in the count. Pitchers get real nasty when they get ahead of you, so I try to avoid it."
