20-Game Hitting Streak for Zimmerman Saturday, July 8th , 2056 D.J. Zimmerman, first baseman for the Montgomery Biscuits, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games with 2 hits in his club's 2-1 victory over the Tennessee Smokies at Smokies Park. "I don't really know why it's even happening," he said with a grin after the game. "So asking me how long I can keep it up is kind of irrelevant. It'll end when it ends." D.J. Zimmerman singled in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th. Currently Zimmerman is batting .294 with 14 home runs and 48 RBIs. |
