League Suspends Aras Tuesday, April 25th , 2051 Shreveport Engineers third baseman Dale Aras was suspended 2 games by the league commissioner today, a day after arguing his ejection during a game against the Arkansas Travelers. "I think the 2 games are a little harsh," Aras said. He was ejected by plate umpire for arguing balls and strikes. After his ejection, Aras went into the dugout, then came back on the field, argued with the umpire and had to be restrained by coaches and teammates. The suspension was issued for "unbecoming conduct and returning to the field of play after being dismissed." Aras on the season is hitting .296 with no home runs. His stats include 2 RBIs and 1 run scored. |
