The Binghamton third baseman made Portland defenders earn their pay, lashing Portland pitching for 5 hits in 5 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that his strategy was "just hit it where they pitched it." "Too often I try too hard to pull the ball," Wade said in his postgame press conference. "Today, I just went with the pitch." Mark Wade singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Mike Myers in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 7th.
