League Suspends Gittens and Espinosa for Brawl Sunday, July 23rd , 2051 Richard Gittens of the Yonkers Dark Knights and Serra Espinosa of the Akron RubberDucks will be on the sidelines for a few days. They have been suspended for 4 and 6 games respectively by the league office for causing the bench-emptying free-for-all at the recent Dark Knights-RubberDucks game at Gunslingers Ballpark. Neither player had any comment about the suspensions. Both clubs told BNN Gittens and Espinosa will begin serving them soon. For the year Gittens is batting .261 with 84 hits and 8 home runs. He has scored 42 times and driven in 43. To date this year Espinosa has compiled a 1-2 mark with a 12.96 ERA in 2 starts. |
