Wichita Halts Talley's Hitting Steak Tuesday, July 21st , 2065 Erie defeated Wichita, 5-4, at Regions Field, but saw the 20-game hitting streak of SeaWolves left fielder Akinyele Talley snapped -- the Pilots held Talley hitless in 5 at-bats. "I enjoyed the streak," he said in a BNN interview after the game. "It's great in one way, but the day-to-day pressure to keep it going can be tough to handle, too. The main thing is we got the win today. That's all that really counts." Talley is batting .348 with 11 home runs and 33 RBIs this season. |
