Colton Eriksen Captures SL Most Valuable Player

He may have less experience than most of his Double A peers, but that didn't slow Colton Eriksen down at all in 2064.
At the age of 24, the Rocket City center fielder has been named the winner of the Southern League Most Valuable Player.
He had a .303 batting average and a .373 on-base percentage this year. In 113 games he piled up 131 hits, 18 doubles, 2 triples, 24 home runs, 62 RBIs and 78 runs scored.
"I'm blown away by the season I was able to put together," he said. "I'm looking forward to trying to do it all again next year."
He received 22 first place votes out of a possible 36. Kirby Johnson of the Shreveport Engineers finished second in voting with 7 first place votes, while Inigo Villalobos of the Shreveport Engineers finished third with 4 first place votes.
