Mountaineers Sweep Ogden Saturday, September 29th , 2035 The Erwin Mountaineers ignited a huge celebration as they beat the Ogden Raptors 5-0 to win the Advanced Rookie Championship Series. Erwin won the series 4-0, capturing the title for the 7th time. "We stepped it up at the right time, and now we're the champs," said Erwin manager Rogelio Morales. "It's a great feeling." The champs finished the regular season 46-22 and claimed first place in the Appalachian League West Division. In the jubilant clubhouse after the decisive game, series MVP and first baseman Domingo Russo said the Mountaineers have "great fans and they deserve this."
