Collins Booms 3 out of the Park Friday, August 2nd , 2030 Eric Collins showed off his power today as he launched three balls into the seats against the Gainesville Hogs and sparked the Sun Dogs to a 11-10 victory. "I got some good pitches to hit and turned on them real good," he told reporters in the postgame interview. "I have always liked to hit at Roger Dean Stadium." For the day, Collins collected 4 hits in 5 at-bats, scored 4 runs and had 4 RBIs. "He was instant offense today," Miramar skipper Mike Ryan said. "Eric really put on a show." Eric Collins flied out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Todd Avery in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Todd Avery in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Malcolm Gonzales in the 9th. So far this season Collins is batting .336 with 11 home runs. |
