Mercado's Strong Week Earns AZL Trophy Monday, August 5th , 2030 It was announced today that Ahwatukee second baseman T.J. Mercado had received the Arizona Rookie League Player of the Week Award for his impressive play last week. All week long he was terrific at the plate and won the honor with a .522 BA (12-for-23), 3 home runs and 9 RBIs. This year Mercado is hitting at a .314 pace with 7 home runs and 24 RBIs. He has played in 31 games and scored 31 times. |
