Ross Has 20-Game Hitting Streak Friday, July 25th , 2064 Bill Ross's consecutive-game hitting streak has now climbed to 20 games. The Miramar catcher smacked 2 hits against the Cape Coral Hammerheads in today's game at Roger Dean Stadium, but he expressed mixed emotions about the streak after watching the Sun Dogs drop the game, 12-3. "I feel good about the streak, but don't feel good when we lose," he told reporters. "I'd love to get a hit as well as a win next time so I can celebrate properly." Bill Ross singled in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, struck out in the 5th and singled in the 7th. So far this season, Ross has hit .390 with 5 home runs, 22 RBIs and scored 21 times. |
