Carpenter Bashes 3 HR for Hialeah Thursday, June 29th , 2051 Whatever Scotty Carpenter ate for breakfast before his game against the Kissimmee Kumquats today, it gave him some impressive power. The Hialeah center fielder smacked three balls up and out of the park at Bright House Field. His home run barrage led the Gales to take the 10-7 victory over the Kumquats. "When they throw it in your wheelhouse, you've got a shot at a homer," he told BNN reporters after the game. "I got three shots today and nailed them all." On his 3-homer day, he went 3-for-4, scored 3 times, drove in 7 and put on a display that history will remember. Scotty Carpenter grounded out in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Evan McConnell in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Evan McConnell in the 6th, walked in the 8th and hit a three-run home run off Jude Gamon in the 9th. Carpenter on the season is hitting .268 with 4 home runs. His stats include 11 RBIs and 9 runs scored. |
