5-Hit Barrage by Goodall Saturday, August 12th , 2051 It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 5-for-5 day. For many, it might come around only once in a career -- and for Kyle Goodall, it came around today. The 19-year-old third baseman scattered hits all over Surprise Stadium to pace the Sierra Vista Hummingbirds to a 16-3 victory over the Cape Coral Hammerheads. Cape Coral skipper Roger Diaz told reporters in the press room that "Goodall deserves a hat-tip." "He hit some good pitches against us," he said. "In fact, according to our scouting reports, Goodall hit several that he is not supposed to be able to hit." Kyle Goodall hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Jaxson McDavid in the 3rd, hit a two-run single in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and hit an RBI double in the 7th.
