FLA Selects Pearson July's Best Starter Monday, August 1st , 2039 Last month's cream of the crop on the mound was Adam Pearson of the Fort Lauderdale Pirates. He captured the Florida Rookie League Pitcher of the Month award for his outstanding performance in July. Pearson started 4 games, threw 31.2 innings, yielded 21 hits and logged a 5-0 record.
