Fort Lauderdale Takes Divisional Series Saturday, September 19th , 2065 The Fort Lauderdale Pirates didn't hold back their excitement after beating the Pembroke Pines Herons in the Divisional Series tonight. Members of the team rushed onto the field and celebrated joyously when the victory became official, with a 20-10 win moving the club on to the Regional Championship Series, clinching a 4-1 series win in front of the Charlotte Sports Park crowd. "This isn't the big one, but of course we need to get through this before we can win a R Championship Series, so it's an important step," said Thornton Reichman as he took a break from celebrating. "Our guys are happy and excited to be moving on." Reichman was named series MVP, as he hit .478 with a .520 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 7 RBI and scored 9 runs. On the other side of the diamond, there was desolation. Many members of the Herons sat stone-faced in their dugouts, simply watching Fort Lauderdale celebrate.
