Barons Second Baseman Katona Hurt Friday, May 24th , 2052 The Wilkes-Barre Barons will be minus Mark Katona for about 4 months after the second baseman suffered a severely strained hip muscle while running the bases in a recent game against the Charlotte Knights. Katona and Barons skipper Jon Moody had been hoping the post-game examination would show less damage than originally thought. This season Katona has hit 3 home runs and posted a .393 batting average. |
